Fire Evacuation Procedure

For your safety, please ensure you are familiar with your properties specific fire evacuation procedures. Your awareness of the nearest exits and the proper evacuation routes are essential in the event of an emergency. Copies of the fire evacuation procedures can be found throughout the communal areas of your property.

I’ve included below a general process to follow in the event of a fire, however please ensure you are up to date on your property specific version.

In case of fire:

1) Raise the Alarm

Activate the nearest fire alarm call point immediately.

2) Leave the Building

  • Do not use the lifts (if applicable)

  • Leave the building by the nearest fire exit

  • Follow the emergency exit signs

3) Close doors behind you

To prevent the fire from spreading, ensure all doors are closed as you leave.

4) Do not return to collect your personal belongings.

Your safety is the priority. Leave immediately without stopping to gather items.

If you are trapped by fire:

  • Stay in your house and dial 999 to inform the fire services of your location.

  • Wait for assistance from the fire brigade. Do not attempt to leave unless instructed.

Assembly Point:

The property specific location is included on your version - Once you are outside, proceed to the designated assembly point and remain there.

DO NOT RE-ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD IT IS SAFE TO DO SO BY THE FIRE SERVICE.

Fire Safety Tips:

  • Ensure fire exits are always kept clear.

  • Report any fire hazards to the building management.

  • If you have mobility issues or need assistance during an evacuation, inform the building management in advance.
